The CB1000R from Honda is one of the hottest naked street bikes of 2008. The new bike features Honda’s 2007 CB1000R engine, though in slightly different state of tune for stronger low and mid range power. The cylinder head for the engine is made of magnesium, which along with an ACG cover reduces engine weight.Ignition and fuel injection mapping for each cylinder is done individually to derive optimum performance and response.

The CB1000R’ s bold styling is a departure from Honda’s conservative ways. Much of the bike’s is reflected through its mass-forwarded orientation that positions the rider slightly forward. The bike also features a really cool three section LCD meter panel design. The unit comprises of a wide multi-segment LCD tachometer, special opening and ending displays and a really cool looking backlight illumination. The triangular multi-reflector headlight was distinctive LED lamps integrated into a compact bikini cowl.
The light weight cast aluminum frame on the bike is extremely rigid and along with top-quality suspension , wheels and brakes makes the CB1000R a reassuring handler. Fully adjustable 43 mm inverted from forks like the ones on the new CB1000R do duty upfront while there is mono shock with HMAS damper offering 10 step spring preload and rebound damping at the rear. The black painted cast aluminum wheels on the bike have a new four-spoke design. A combined-ABS version of the bike is available for the ultra smooth, safe and confident cornering.![]()
The CB 1000R comes equipped with Honda Ignition Security System(HISS) and is enough to be stolen as it disables the ignition system at its central ECU on tempering. Available in four colors the bike seems to be a Europe-only model for now.
