I purchased my first bike Bajaj XCD-125 DTS-Si on 12th of December 2007 and its been around 11 months since I purchased my bike.So far I am a satisfied customer of the bike. This bike is really a “value for money” product.Because you will never get a better 125 cc vehicle at this lower price with lots of features like that included with Bajaj XCD-125.So that is a good positive sign to increase the competition between others and to reduce the price. So lets welcome that!.

The engine of Bajaj XCD-125 DTS-Si was built with DTS-Si technology.DTS-Si means Digital Twins Spark Swirl Induction. From the website of Bajaj XCD, its advantages are:

* Faster combustion of air-fuel mixture.

*Ability to burn more leaner air-fuel mixture.

The first thing you will notice in Bajaj XCD-125 is its Digital Speedo Meter instead of the usual analog meter. This is a great feature for a 125 cc bike at this price. But you will also notice another thing that the area in the meter console area is very small. This will really upset some bike lovers.Next best feature of the bike is “Self Start”.This bike comes with a self start which is also a good feature for a bike at this price.Next feature, as the producers of this bike say is LED Tail Lamp.Another good thing I found was you need not to fit an extra “saree guard” to this bike as there is a utility box attached to it by default. This will do the work of both!.That is nice. The next feature that displayed in the brochure of Bajaj XCD-125 is folding number plate.I don’t know why they people call it as a feature. Its nothing worth. It may built only to add one more one line in features list(I think so).A worthless feature.Another attractive feature for a normal user is its mileage. It gives a better mileage from other vehicles of the same class.I got 92 Km mileage in the beginning. The mileage test run included city ride as well as highway ride.So that figure is a pretty pretty good figure for a bike lover. And considering the petrol price hike this makes happy for the customer as well.Next feature of this bike is that price of the bike is very less compared to the other bikes in the same segment.

So we have seen lot of Features. Now lets see some of the drawbacks of the bike.As I earlier said the first drawback you will notice is the bike is very small in size especially when you look at the meter console area.Compared to other bikes(even with a 100cc bike this will really upset the bike lover!).Due to the small size of the bike there are chances for shivering of bike when going at high speed. So be careful while driving at high speed(Anytime be careful! :)).Next drawback I felt was even though this is a 125cc bike you will not get a feel of 125cc bike while riding, mainly in highway riding. You may look for a 5th gear or at least you may wish if there were one more gear!!!.Yes you will not get a feeling that you are running on 4th gear.

Finally Here I am concluding with the Pros and Cons of this bike in short. In my opinion this bike is really good for Money savers(Less Petrol, Price of the Bike etc). But not good for some one who wants to be a hero in the roads. So choice is yours.I hope you enjoyed my post. Please post your comments and suggestions about this post.Thanks.

Pros:

1) Digital Meter

2) Self Start

3) Good Mileage ( I got once 90km average on High way road)

4) Digital Meter Console

5) LED Tail lamp

6) Price is Less compared to the bikes in the same segment

Cons:

1)Doesn’t have enough weight in the front so we will feel some

discomfort with it. Chances are there to shake when going at high

speed in the high ways. I wish it would have been better if they

could design it with some changes.

2) Bike’s size is very small.

3) Meter console area is very small
